Esther J. “Jane” Strickler, 83, of Newmanstown, PA, died Monday, August 26, 2013 in her home. She was the wife of Charles S. “Tony” Strickler with whom she was married to for 67 years. She was born August 17, 1930 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Harry P. and Clara G. Miller. Jane was a very active member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church, Newmanstown where she served as financial secretary and was an amateur interior decorator. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Layne E. Strickler and wife Renee of Robesonia; granddaughters, Jennifer C. Falasca and husband Joseph of CA; Molly S. Strickler of UT; Jennifer Clinton of West Lawn; great grandchildren, Riley, Liam and Elijah Clinton; Godchild, Wendy Hertzog of Newmanstown. She was preceded in death by a son, Lance Strickler. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 AM in the Millcreek Lutheran Church, 221 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to her church.
