Pearl Balthaser Haak Kahl

Pearl Balthaser Kahl, 93, of Richland, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, PA. She was the wife of the late Harry E. Kahl. She was born on June 10, 1922 in Strausstown, Berks County, a daughter of the late Stanley K. and Lillian Balthaser Haak. Pearl was a 20 year retired employee of the Lebanon County Workshop. She was a member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church in Newmanstown where she sang in the church choir and was an avid quilter. She is survived by sons, David S. Kahl and wife Kathleen of Lake Wynonah; Jack B. Kahl and wife Lourdes of Richland; Brent E. Kahl, Sr. and wife Linda G. of Newmanstown; grandchildren, Kevin Kahl, Brian Kahl, Dr. William Quinones, Kiya Emerich; Stanley Kahl, Brent Kahl, Jr., Jodi Weiant and Jennifer Miknich; great grandchildren, Vera Quinones, Ophelia Emerich, Julian Quinones, Jude Emerich, Tyler Miknich and Molly Miknich; sister, Ethel Lau of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Kahl. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Millcreek Lutheran Church, 221 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073. Interment will take place following her service in the Millcreek Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her church.
