He was the beloved husband of Lori Asaley-Dupont, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Fred was the son of Jeannine Dupont and the late Raymond Dupont. He worked for over 25 years at the Massachusetts Highway Department as a bridge inspector and was a member of the Moses Union. Fred had a lifelong passion for music and loved playing his guitars. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time by the ocean, and caring for his cherished animals. Above all, his greatest love was for his family.
Fred is survived by his children, Cayla Dupont and Brett Dupont; his siblings, Raymond Dupont and Kerrie Fortin of New Hampshire, Rene Dupont and Julia of North Carolina, and Paul Dupont and Colleen of Michigan. He was also a brother-in-law to Gail Margo of Maine, Eddie and Debbie Asaley of Massachusetts, and Nancy and Stephen Cronin of Massachusetts.
Additionally, he is survived by his niece, Melissa, of Texas, and nephew, Jason, of New Mexico, as well as the children of Lori’s siblings, who adored Fred and will miss him dearly. And lastly, a special thanks to all his friends who made an impact on his life, he loved you all.
A visitation will be held on January, 18th from 1 to 4 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Scituate Animal Shelter.
