

Kelley-Alice C. (Walsh) Haley Kelley of Norwell passed on October 4, 2011 at home, age 81. Alice is the loving wife of Paul F. Kelley, and was wife to the late Charles F. Haley. She is survived by her daughters; Paula Haley Koziol, and Beth Haley Jandreau both of Alaska, Paul’s children; Shawn Kelley of Hyannis, Maureen Canney of Walpole, and Kathleen Leddie of Duxbury, a sister; Susan Bradbury of Braintree, 7 grandchildren, and several nieces/nephews. She is sister of the late Richard Walsh. Alice was a Randolph native, and has been a resident of Norwell for 20 years. She graduated from Thayer Academy, Braintree in 1952, and received a bachelor’s degree from Radcliffe University. Alice was a teacher of English, and Math at Thayer Middle School for 26 years, where she was the head of the math department. She went on to teach math at Quincy Jr. College. Alice enjoyed gardening, and belonged to the Norwell Garden Club. She also enjoyed reading, playing the piano, and singing. She was a member of St. Mary’s Choir, where she was a parishioner. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 10th from 3-7PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate. A funeral will be held on Tuesday beginning at the funeral home at 8AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 9:30AM. Interment will be held at MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice’s memory may be made to South Shore Hospital Cancer Care Programs, 101 Columbian St, S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
