Anne M. Dennett

Dennett-Anne M. (O’Keefe) of Scituate passed on Feb. 12th, 2012 age 98 at Cardigan Nursing Home, Scituate. Anne is the wife of the late Willard Dennett. Born in Cambridge, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and has been a Scituate resident for over 30 years. She worked for the Wainwright brokerage company in Boston as a bookkeeper for many years. Anne enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods. Anne is survived by her daughter; Joan McCready and her husband Richard of Scituate, 4 grandchildren; Keith and his wife Kimberly, Kyle McCready, and Maura and Brian Byrne, and 1 great grandchild; Tessa McCready. Anne was predeceased by her daughter Marcia Byrne, 5 siblings; John O’Keefe, Marie O’Keefe, Helen Meister, Catherine Halloran, and Dorothy Collins. Anne’s family would like to acknowledge the staff at Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate for outstanding care and support given to Anne. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 11AM followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate. Visiting hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701 and/or The American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701.
