

Charles E. Zaidan, 82, longtime resident of Scituate passed away on January 20, 2022 after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Young) Zaidan, with whom he shared nearly 45 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Elias and Mary (Moses) Zaidan. He attended Northeastern University and had a lengthy career as an engineer, employed for many years as a Chief Engineer at Raytheon and First Electronics in Boston and worked on classified missile defense programs. He loved cooking and sharing his heritage by making traditional Lebanese recipes for his family. He enjoyed playing golf and loved a good poker game with his friends.
Devoted stepfather of Paul Dunn, Jr. and Irene Dunn, both of Scituate. He is also survived by grandchildren Chelsea, Zachary, Logan and Brody. He was the loving brother of the late Joseph, Michel and Louise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, dear friends and colleagues; and his loving godchild Lori (Tregoning) Donnellan, with whom he shared a special relationship.
Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
