Born in Boston, he was the loving son of Margaret “Peg” Campbell of Scituate and George Haldoupis of Marshfield. Christopher was raised in the Merrymount section of Quincy, which he jokingly referred to as “God’s country.” As a youth, he had a passion for hockey and skateboarding, which he continued to enjoy throughout his adult years. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and dabbled in several trades after graduation, including tile/ floor work. Christopher found his calling when he trained to be a chef. He worked at several restaurants in the area but was most proud of his years working at the Tip Tap Room in Boston, where he perfected his recipe for his legendary street corn.
A loving and dedicated son to Peggy and George, he was also the devoted brother of Alyssa McGowan and her husband John of Marshfield and Peter Haldoupis of Weymouth. He was adored by his nephews Nate, Braeden and Casey. Of all the roles that Christopher assumed in life, the role of Uncle Chris to his nephews was his most treasured. He shared a passion for basketball and fantasy football with his nephews and loved spending time with them. At family gatherings, Christopher was always the one on the grill or cooking for all. Christopher was a friend to all and will be sorely missed by his friends and family. He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved cat, Morty. He is preceded in death by his Nana, Dorothy “Dot” Campbell, with whom he shared a passion for the Bruins and Grumpy White’s.
