Tyler-Clifford Gannett of Scituate passed on January 3, 2012 suddenly at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth at the age of 79. He is the loving husband of Dorothy (Fobes). Clifford graduated from Scituate High School, Wentworth Institute, and Fitchburg State College. He was a carpenter for many years before becoming a teacher in Whitman. He is a Korean War veteran of the Navy. Clifford was a member of the Satuit Masonic Lodge, Scituate, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and stamp collecting. Clifford is also survived by 2 daughters; Stephanie Hastie and her husband Donald of Southington, CT, and Catherine Hallenbrook of Halifax, a sister; Janis Johnson of Eastham, and 5 grandchildren; Jonathan, Jeremy, Megan, and Melissa Hastie, and Christopher Hallenbrook. Clifford was grandfather of the late Thomas Hallenbrook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clifford’s memory may be made to the Scituate Food Pantry, PO Box 120, Scituate, MA 02066. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
