Dorothy Margaret McClanahan

She was the beloved wife of the late Carlton R. McClanahan, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Carlene McClanahan & her husband Steven Aronson of Arlington and Patricia Zimmerman of Mansfield. Sister of John William Mallin and George Thomas Mallin. Sister in law of Warren McClanahan and his wife, Marcia of Hingham. Grandmother of Katie and Paul Aronson of Arlington, Shawn, Scott and Kelli Ann Zimmerman of MA.

Dorothy was born in Comenaugh Township, PA and was educated in the PA public school system. She resided for a period of time in Washington, D.C., later relocating to Massachusetts with her husband. She and Carlton lived in Scituate for 47 years. She taughter CCD at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Church. She was a longtime volunteer for the Scituate Arts Association.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 27 from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Cudworth Cemetery.
