Eileen “Patricia” Kackley, 88, died peacefully at home on January 23, 2019. She was the wife of the late James Horton Kackley who passed away in 1971. Pat was born in Scituate Massachusetts January 25, 1930, the daughter of James and Vera (Murphy) Manning.
Pat is survived by her daughter and five sons; Ann Kackley of Marshfield MA, Jim Kackley and his wife Kim of Milton MA, Mark Kackley and his wife Jayne of Charlton MA, Stephen Kackley of Fryeburg ME, Matt Kackley and his wife Mary Anne of Upton MA and Ted Kackley and his wife Paula of Milton MA. 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pat is survived by her sister Cathy Donahue and her husband Donny of Scituate and her sister Rosemary Gibbons of Scituate. She was predeceased by her sister Carmel Duffey.
Pat was a resident of Scituate for most of her life. She worked for New England Telephone for over 20 years. Pat was a devout Catholic and devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very active in the South Shore Pro Life movement often praying the rosary outside abortion clinics with her sister Carmel. She was a big supporter of the Friends of the Unborn as she would spend hours at their home with her sister helping the young women and their new babies.
A visitation will take place on Sunday January 27, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at Richadson-Gaffey Funeral home, Scituate. A funeral mass will be held on Monday January 28, 2019 at 10am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate.
Pat’s family would like to extend our deepest thanks to Diane Barry who was her primary caregiver for the past few years.
