Geraldine M. Fitzgerald (Gerry), a long-time resident of Scituate, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 after a brief illness. At age 82, she lived a full life, always active in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She was adored by her husband (John), her children and their significant others (Paul & Dawn, Christine, and Shannon & Harry), and grandchildren (Brady & Kealan), as well as the countless friends she made along the way.
She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and cat lady. Gerry was always eager to attend films, plays, ballet, concerts, kids' events, and anything with humor. She never missed an opportunity to remind her family that she was voted "class wit" in high school. Her great sense of humor was surpassed only by her endless support and generosity. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at the Barker Tavern in Scituate. Donations in her name can be made to JDRF, Scituate Animal Shelter or Pat Roche Hospice Home (NVNA).
