Another year has come and gone but it doesn't matter how many years pass, every year still feels like the first.  Everything I do I always think, "what would Dad say?" As we come up to Christmas, thinking of you and Mom.  Holidays have changed since we don't have you to share them with.  There's a sadness that is hard to shake. Hi Dad, its been 2 years tomorrow you left us.  We miss you every day and it still hurts as much today as it did 2 years ago. You passed on 5-16-13, Glenn's birthday is 5, mine is 16 and Mom is 13, all in June.  Coincidental????  A sign???  I dont know but do know that we love you and miss you so much. Hi Dad.  Belated Happy Birthday.  Things have been crazy here, as I am sure you know, and on Sunday, 9/28/14, you would have been 84. I wished you a happy birthday that day and you also sent Dave home from the hospital on that day.  I would say that was a present from you to me. Let me begin by expressing sadness for the loss of your dad and grandfather, my brother Glenn. He was one of 5 brothers and 4 sisters, all special in their own right. Pete as I knew him, was a kind, gentle soul, very loving. He took after our mother, Bessie in that way. He loved playing hockey with the guys and roller skating. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn's wife June, their children, Glenn Jr., Elizabeth and their families. Our hope is to be able to see him when God resurrects those who have died, Acts 24:15

My dearest Father

It's been three days since your passing and I have been thinking of words to say that express how I feel. You have been a father, a friend, a guiding light, a mentor, and a partner. All of the things you and I have done together over the years I will miss. Whether it be fishing or building a garage from scratch without any plans. You instilled in me all of your knowledge and skills which I will always appreciate. I will miss your smile, your humor and your willingness to help not just me but anyone that asked for your help. Dear Dad,
I know we talked about life and death but I was truly not ready for you to leave us.  I guess you are never ready to let go of someone you love so much.  You told me "I'm 82, I can't be here forever....I gotta go sometime" and I know you were ready.  I knew God would take you at the appropriate time and all I could ask for is that you go without pain and peaceful. I pray that you are at peace and reunited with your  Mom and Dad and siblings and others that have gone before you.  My heart is broken and I know in time it will heal. As longtime friends and neighbors, we were saddened to hear of Pete's passing. He had showed us nothing but kindness and friendship that exemplified the best in our neighborhood. Dear Family, We were so sad to hear about Uncle Glens passing. Mom has always spoken of him as her favorite brother. Although I never had the chance to meet my "Uncle Pete", as my mother called him, I felt that I knew him.  My mother would send school pictures every year. Liz and Glenn, Though we are miles apart please know that you are both in our thoughts and we all share the heavy hearts.  Mom was very sadden about the Brother she loved most.
