James C. Coughlin

Jim was the devoted father of James C. and wife Renee of Medfield, Christopher J. and wife Tracy of Watertown and Karen M. Sullo and husband David of Norwood. Cherished Papa of Ryan, Paige and Bradley Coughlin of Medfield and Mia and Jack Sullo of Norwood. He is also survived by his sister in law Sister Germaine Conroy, O.P. of Columbus, OH and several nieces and nephews.

He was the loving son of the late Timothy J. and Margaret C. Coughlin. Loving brother of the late Ruth J. Rathbun, Marjorie Emmons and Robert P. Coughlin. Jim was a 1950 graduate of BC High and 1954 graduate of Boston College. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Above all else, he was a dedicated family man and took great pride in the close relationships he had with his children and his grandchildren.

Visiting hours Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 3-7 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
