Jason Edward Silvia

Jason Edward Silvia – 68, of The Pinehills in Plymouth, formerly of Norwell and Scituate passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Enright) Silvia, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.

Jason was the devoted father of Nicole D. Hayes and her husband Brian of South Weymouth and Justin J. Silvia and his wife Sindy of Duxbury.

Cherished Papa of Brandon Hayes, Emma Hayes and Cameron Silvia.

He is also survived by his sister Susan Agostino and her husband Joseph of Hingham, sister in law Paige Silvia of Holbrook and mother in law Doris Enright of Kingston. He leaves many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jan E. Silvia, sister Evonne Silvia, and parents Edward and Bertha Silvia.

Jason was an avid boater and sport fisherman aboard his boat the Tantrum. Throughout his professional career, he maintained the humble grace of a well-respected leader and for many years served in this capacity as an Officer and Executive Vice President of Ascential Software. He most recently worked as an Executive Vice President for IBM. Above all else, Jason most cherished time spent with his family: particularly his grandchildren.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral home service on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
