

Julia “Julie” F. (Brown) Hoffman 87, of Palm City Florida, Formerly of Scituate. Died peacefully on July 9th surrounded by her family at Linden Ponds Hingham, MA. after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late William R. Hoffman. Loving mother of Richard Hoffman and his wife Helen of Scituate, William E Hoffman of Scituate and his late wife Debra (Brady) and Jane (Hoffman) Robinson of Palm City Florida. Dear sister of, her twin brother John (Bub) Brown and his wife Ethel, Cora “Cody” Dolan and Laura Houghton all of Scituate. Devoted grandmother of Susan, Justin, D.J., Amanda, Julie, Michael, Craig, Alex. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Julie was also predeceased by her grandson Ricky and her great granddaughter Katie. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of great friends. She graduated from Scituate High School with the class of 1942, were she was active in sports. During World War 2 she volunteered with the USO in Scituate. Julie met Bill Hoffman who was stationed In the Glades section of Scituate. After the War they were married and started their family. She was an active member of, the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, The Etrusco Association, PTO, The Heart Association, Which One Year She Became The Queen of Hearts. Julie And Bill Were the Founders of Scituate Concrete Pipe Corp In 1959. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. in The Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Relatives and friends are invited. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 14, 2011 in The First Trinitarian Congregational Church 381 Country way Scituate at 10:00.
