Margaret "Peg" Mary Mehegan Barton

BARTON, Margaret “Peg” (Mehegan) from Scituate, formerly of Brighton, passed away on June 5, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Barton. Devoted mother of Meg LaBate and partner Ken Kasica of Carver; Deborah Barton of Scituate; Lynne MacPherson and husband Joe of Marshfield; Leslie Mulledy and husband Tom of Hanson; and Lisa Lynch and husband Michael of Plymouth. Adoring grandmother of Alison, Nicole and Victoria Labbate; Derek, Korey and Brandon MacPherson; Owen and Aidan Mulledy and Casey Lynch. Loving daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Myers) Mehegan of Brighton MA. Dear sister of the late Jack Mehegan of West Springfield, Judith McIsaac Hughes and Cathy Cahill of Brighton MA and the late Charlie Mehegan of Natick MA. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Peg was born in Brighton and graduated from Our Lady of the Presentation in Oak Square. She was a real estate broker in Scituate for 40 years and was an antiques dealer, avid golfer and gardener. Member and employee of Scituate Country Club. Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Wednesday, June 9th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church at 10AM.
