

Margaret M. (ODonnell) Mahmarian of Scituate, and formerly of New York City, died peacefully in her sleep Nov. 26, 2013, at the age of 95. Born in Brockton, Margaret moved to New York City at a young age in search of a career. She was a highly valued employee in senior personnel and human resources positions with Remington Rand/Unisys, the Association for Computing Machinery, and Edison Price Lighting. In 1998, Margaret returned to New England to be nearer to family. She lived in Central Park in Scituate and had many dear friends in the complex, especially Helen Marraffa. Margaret was the beloved wife of Richard Mahmarian (deceased) and the cherished aunt of Wendy ODonnell Ballinger, her husband David, and their daughters Sarah and Kate. In addition to the Ballingers, Margaret is survived by her sisters-in-law, Marion O'Donnell of Brockton and Helen ODonnell of Medway, and nieces Phyllis Carleen and her husband Chris, Kathleen Ober and her husband Daniel, Carol Mahmarian, and nephews Michael ODonnell and Lawrence Mahmarian, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by cousins Judy Merra and her husband Sam of Sudbury, William Murphy of Wellesley, and Claire Murray of St. Louis, Missouri and their children.
