Marlene Reardon

Marlene (Golembeski) Reardon, a 10-year resident of Scituate, MA, and formerly from New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024. She was 87. Marlene will forever be remembered for her endless generosity, caring spirit, and fondness for all.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Cecelia (Bochinski) Golembeski. Marlene was married to the late Donald Reardon, Sr (1999) for 41 years, together raising six children. As a dedicated homemaker, Marlene was very active in the East Brunswick Woman’s Club and school PTA’s and later held jobs in real estate and interior design. She was an avid gardener, creative cook, and talented crafter, leaving behind many treasures to family and friends.

Marlene was the devoted mother of Caryl O’Dowd (James) of Ponte Vedra, FL, Donald Reardon Jr. (Graciela) of W. Windsor, NJ, Suzanne Czap (Ronald) of Windsor, NJ, Patricia Birmingham of Wilmington, DE, Jacqueline Gable (Gregg) of Robbinsville, NJ, and Jennifer Tolton (Kelly) of Scituate, MA.

Marlene was a cherished grandmother and will be greatly missed by Erin, Sarah, Grace, Danny, Walter, Zachary, Samantha, Dylan, Caroline, Jimmy, and Julia.

Marlene was predeceased by sister, Dorothy (Michael) and sister-in-law Kathleen Haughwout (Richard). She is survived by her beloved siblings Joanne D’Surney (William) of Glen Allen, VA, Marie Labarowski (John) of Advance, NC, Matthew Golembeski (Brenda) of Forked River, NJ, and sister-in-law Patricia Reardon (the late James) of Scotch Plains, NJ. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate Harbor, MA on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in New Jersey at a later date.
