Patricia A. Seneski

The daughter of Edna (Cusick) and Vincent Dunphy, Pat was a 1958 graduate of Scituate High School and in 1961 graduated from the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing.

After graduation, Pat traveled to Peru with a priest from the Society of Saint James to provide nursing and spiritual care to a very disadvantaged population. This experience enlightened her perspective on life and was something she referenced frequently.

Pat’s nursing career spanned decades, across multiple disciplines. She was at the forefront of home care in the 1980s and built a well-respected business providing skilled and compassionate care in the home setting. She had the opportunity to teach and inspire several generations of nurses and other health professionals over the years.

After her retirement Pat was active in Scituate Health Services, the Garden Club, the Scituate Food Pantry and the Scituate Etrusco Associates.

Pat traveled the western world with friends and family. She loved seeing how others lived, historically and in the present.

Beloved mother of Carole-Ann Seneski (Debra Brown) and Nana of Meaghan Young (Dakota Young), Patrick Sheridan (Abbi DeSantis) and Sean Sheridan (Britt Sheridan) and a great grandson, Christopher Sheridan.

She is also survived by her brother J. Michael Dunphy (Gail Dunphy) and sisters in law, Marie Dunphy and Diana Dunphy, and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was predeceased by her sister Carole and her husband Charles Vickery, her brothers Vincent Dunphy Jr, Robert Dunphy and his wife Anne, Joseph Dunphy and Arthur Dunphy.

A wake will be held Sunday, May 4th from 3-7 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, Scituate. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 5th at 10:00 AM at St Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate.
