Robert was a WWII veteran and served with the US Navy. After his service to his country, he began a career in 1957 as a radio engineer with WCVB, Channel 5, retiring in 1991. An avid ham operator (W1DKD) Robert was licensed in 1964.
Loving father of Walter of Scituate, Thomas and his wife Bertha of Marshfield and the late Stephen. Brother of Elizabeth Bickford of Coventry, RI. Grandfather of Christie, Kevin and Cammie. Longtime companion of Noreen Daley of Scituate. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Monday, August 26th at 11AM. Visiting hours will be held from 4PM-6PM on Sunday, August 25th. Interment will be private.
