Alvina Neu

Alvina Neu, 88 , passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 a the Mitchell Care Center. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Church with Pastor Garry Schick officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. A memorial has been established to the church. Alvina was born October 31, 1920 in Bayard, Nebraska to Peter and Kathryn (Spangler) Yekel. She married Jake Neu on November 14, 1937 in Mitchell, Nebraska and later moved to Scottsbluff. She was residing at the Mitchell Care Center at the time of her death. She was a long time member of Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff. Survivors include her son, Marvin of Denver, CO; grand daughter, Suzanna (Scott) Dever and great grandson, Andrew all of Nashville, Tenn; grandson, Scott (Heather) Neu and great grandsons, Charlie and Jake and great grand daughter, Catherine all of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Caroline of Scottsbluff; two brothers, Raymond of Caldwell, Idaho and Herbert of Fremont, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jake, one sister and four brothers.
