

Georgia Ann Kramer, 85, of Gering died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Heritage Estates in Gering. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jun 9, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff with Father Gerald Harr officiating. Interment will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church or to Prairie Haven Hospice. Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel between 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday. Georgia was born February 22, 1927 in Scottsbluff to William G. and Bessie E. (Matzke) Platz. Georgia attended Scottsbluff Schools and worked at Lawrence Drug. She married Raymond R. Kramer October 16, 1946. Georgia worked at the Register of Deeds office for Mary Jo Ellis for several years, retiring in 1999 at the age of 72. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Past President of Does Drove #21 and also a Past President of Nebraska Volunteer Fireman’s Auxiliary. Georgia loved visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards, doing word search and cooking especially her holiday pies. Georgia is survived by her four sons – Larry R. (Pete Remeika) of Sun Lakes, AZ, Dennis R. (Connie) Kramer of Gering, Dr Gregory P. (Kathy) Kramer of Hampden, ME and Timothy J. Kramer of Omaha, NE, her sister, Bessie Kath of Scottsbluff, brothers Dr. John Platz of Sidney, Gustav (Sally) Platz of Loveland, Co and William (Terry) Platz of Lawrence KS. Grandchildren Jason (Becky) Kramer of Colorado Springs, CO, Jackie (Adam) Goss of Spencer, IN, Meghan Kramer of Charleston, SC, Jennifer Kramer, Hampden ME, Jeffrey Kramer of Omaha and Raechel Kramer of Omaha. Great Grand Children Allie, Nathan and Sean Goss of Spencer, IN and Ethan, Braden and Alex Kramer of Colorado Springs, CO as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Georgia was preceded in death by husband Ray September 7, 1989, parents, sisters Mary Vehse and Wilma Hanley, brothers Earl and Frank Davis as well as several half brothers and sisters.
