

Harold Michael “Mike” Weimer, 48, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, May 1, 2006, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with his family by his side, from complications of a stroke. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 8, 2006, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Shawn Leach officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. Mike was born January 3, 1958, at Fort Benning, Georgia to Edward and Darlene (Rusch) Weimer. He started school in Germany where his father was stationed while in the military. The family later moved to Mitchell where Mike grew up and attended school. He then served in the United States Army. In 1982, he married Nancy Rohde in Scottsbluff. He worked as a plumber for over twenty years in Scottsbluff and Gering, the latest being D & E Plumbing and his own business, Weimer’s Services Inc. He enjoyed playing spades on the computer. He was an avid Husker, Colorado Rockies and Denver Bronco’s fan. Survivors include his son, Shaun (Melissa) Weimer of Scottsbluff; Michelle (Craig) Zwetzig of Scottsbluff and Tonya Weimer and her fiancé Randy Powell of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Rashaun, Aubree and Denver Weimer; unborn granddaughter, Amarie Powell; parents, Edward and Darlene Weimer of Scottsbluff; brothers, Kelly Weimer of Scottsbluff and Rick Weimer of Kearney; sister, Veronica Weimer of Scottsbluff; former wife and friend, Nancy Weimer of Mitchell; and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, several uncles, aunts and cousins.
