Janie Montalvo, 61, of Scottsbluff, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Golden Living-Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9., 2006 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Fr. Phil Flott and Pastor LeRoy Wyre officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. Janie was born in Texas December 27, 1944 to Nicolas and Marina Montalvo. She received her education in Texas. She worked with her family as a migrant worker in Texas and Nebraska before settling in Scottsbluff in the 1950’s. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters: Nicole Montalvo of Gering and Sara Montalvo of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Zackery and Megan Testerman of Gering; sisters: Tina Lopez, Gering, NE, Frances Reza of Las Vegas, NV and Tonia Montalvo of Texas; brothers: Daniel Montalvo of Omaha, NE, and Nick Montalvo and Pete Montalvo both of Texas.
