Jesse Gomez

Jesse Gomez Jr., 64, of Lyman, Nebraska was taken away from this world in a car accident near Kearney, Nebraska on Friday, December 16, 2016. A visitation will be held from 1 – 6 PM at the Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 with a Rosary following at 6 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11 AM with Father Mike McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill. A reception will be held at 1 PM at The Firehall in Lyman after the burial.

Jesse was born at Caro, Michigan on June 30, 1951 to his parents Jesus and Concepcion (Torres) Gomez. He eventually made his way to Lyman, Nebraska were he started his family with his wife San Jaunita. Together they had seven children and many grandchildren. Jesse lived for his grandchildren. He loved attending their school sports and cheering them on. He loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He enjoyed having family gatherings, fishing, barbequing, and camping. He also loved to dance, play with his dog Sam, traveling, and working on cars. Jesse was loved by all that knew him and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, children Eladia (Joe) Cantu (Faith, Ben, and Chris), Gloria (Armando) Cantu (Eric and Teresa), Manual (Aurora) Ortega (Jesse and Jesayna), Mary (Jose) Gomez (Alfie and Desmend), Tanilao (Pauline) Gomez (Isaiah, Marceline, and Tanilao Jr.), Jose Gomez (Nicolas, Envi, and Kamaro), Sylvia (Raul) Gomez (Andy, Nacie, and Jesse), Jesusa Jeremiah Gomez (Alonzo and Christian).

He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Concepcion, son Jesus

Gomez III, grandson Armando Cantu Jr., and great-grandchildren

Savion and Kadee Palama.
