Jim D Sevier

Jim D Sevier, age 71, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died on August 31, 2022 at his home. There will be a visitation at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at which point the rosary will be prayed with Father Rayappa Konka officiating. Per Jim’s wishes, cremation will take place and inurnment will be in Harrison, Nebraska at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com Jim was born March 3, 1951 in Kearney, Nebraska, to Brown Leroy and Mary Evelyn Sevier. He graduated from Gordon High School and attended Chadron State College. He married Estella “Maggie” V. Sevier on April 4, 2006 in Scottsbluff, where they made their home. Jim was a longtime track maintenance machine operator for BNSF Railroad, and an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He never met a stranger. Well loved by all of his railroad gangs, high school teammates and bandmates, the Filipino communities of Western Nebraska, and his close family, he will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Maggie; siblings, Bob and Janice; and children, Robert and Stacy and step-children. He was preceded in death by both parents and his older sister, Eva Dunn.
