John A. Gutierrez, 43, of Scottsbluff, passed Monday, July 13, 2015 at Regional West Medical Center. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6 PM with Deacon Dan Gilbert officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Vince Parsons officiating. John was born July 29, 1971 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Pablo P. and Josephine (Gonzales) Gutierrez. He received his education in the Scottsbluff Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Paula Sandoval on June 13, 2007 in Scottsbluff. The couple made their home in Scottsbluff. John loved his family. He was a hard worker. He worked at KFC and Kelley Bean, and most recently Perkins. He loved to barbeque, watch football (especially the Denver Broncos and Nebraska Cornhuskers!) He was a great cook! He also liked to watch the Animal Planet with his daughter and son. He liked teaching his kids to do things around the home. He was the baby of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had great childhood friends: DJ, Ryan, and Russ which he considered as brothers. He was truly loved by Mr. and Mrs. Eigenberg of Signal Mountain, Tennessee. He meant a lot to them.

John is survived by his wife Paula; son Isaiah, daughters Paulina and Emma; mother Josephine Gutierrez; brother Pableno of Scottsbluff; sisters Linda Camargo of Scottsbluff, Betty (George) Yellowboy of Scottsbluff, Julia (Andy) Guerrero of Glendale, AZ, and Paulina (Luis) Arredondo of Phoenix, AZ; father-in-law Gerald Kessler and his daughters Jennifer and Sabrina all of Gering; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents Frutoso and Juaquina Gonzales, Lucio Gutierrez Sr., Julia Gonzales, father Pablo P. Gutierrez, brother Pete Gutierrez, and sister Amy (Gutierrez) Redfeather.
