Joshua Martin Span

Josh was born on October 4, 1988, in Ogallala, Nebraska to Joseph and Terry (Bradshaw) Span. He received his early education at Sidney Northfield, graduating from Sidney High School. He attended Western Nebraska Community College.

He married Jessica Leonard on July 1, 2021, at his sister’s home and made their home in Mitchell, Nebraska.

Josh drove truck and did mechanic work. He was a member of the Mitchell Fire Department. Josh enjoyed racing cars, motorcycling, and woodwork. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Jessica; children Nicholas Arroyo, Joseph Arroyo, Leland Arroyo, Jacob Span, Colby Miller and Alayna Lucas; mother Terry Span; sister and brother-in-law Randi Gable and Ethan Gable; nieces Molly Gable, Adeline Gable, Destinee Harden-Burns; nephews Christopher Burns, Beau Burns and Waylon Burns; brother and sister-in-law Nick and Kayla Arroyo and host of friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Span; grandparents James and Emma Span and nephew Micheal Mapes.
