Kathren Elizabeth Weideman

Kathren Elizabeth (Prester) Weideman, 96, of Scottsbluff passed away, Friday, August 8, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff with Pastors Garry Schick and Amos Harris officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be made to Prairie Haven Hospice or to the family. Kathren was born March 25, 1912, in Minatare, Nebraska to George Sr. and Anna (Brill) Prester. She married Alexsander Weideman on March 10, 1935, in Scottsbluff. To this union was born three children: Shirley, Leland and Glenda. Kathren is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leland and Dona Weideman of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Judy (Mike) Yost of Lincoln, Ivan Schooler of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Kenneth (Linda) Schooler of Gering, Debra (Jim) Kasza of Gering, Leanne Powell of Gering, Michael (Stacy) Weideman of Scottsbluff, Melvin, Kevin, Dustin, and Jimmy of Colorado, and Jennifer, Melville and Brian Douglas of Scottsbluff; great-grandchildren, Shandra and Kayla Yost of Lincoln, Mathew Schooler of Wyoming, Jeremy Kasza of Gering, Tiffany (Justin) Thompson of Gering, Ann Powell (fiancé Evan Engelhaupt) of Scottsbluff, Nancy Powell of Gering, Michael Bilby, Garet Weideman and Amber Weideman of Bayard, and Kayla and Alyssa Weideman of Scottsbluff; great-great-grandchildren, Ashlee Steyer of Scottsbluff, Cameron Powell of Gering, and Kayleigh Morgan of Scottsbluff; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alexsander; daughters, Shirley and Glenda; brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Molly) Prester, Fred (Katherine) Prester, Henry Prester and Walter (Frieda) Pester; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva (Henry) Robertus and Anna (Adam) Brown; grandson, Stevie Douglas; great-grandson, Larry Powell Jr.; along with numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
