Levi B Elsen

Levi B. Elsen, 35 entered into the presence of his Lord on January 30, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with Interstitial Lung Disease at the University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, Colorado. At Levi’s request, he was cremated in Colorado. His memorial service will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Memorial Church in Gering with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating. Inurnment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Levi was born to Cynthia (Martin) Elsen on November 17, 1974 in Sidney, Nebraska. He was then adopted by Alan Elsen at the age of five. Levi attended kindergarten at a country school before transferring into the Banner County school system. Levi graduated from Banner County High School in 1993 where he lettered in football, basketball and track. He later attended Western Nebraska Community College. Levi loved the outdoors, sports and animals. With this Levi worked at Dinklage Feeding in Minatare, Nebraska for 13 years until ill health forced his retirement in February 2009. Levi married Tonya Giles on October 12, 2002 at Calvary Memorial Church, Gering, Nebraska with Pastor Charlie Hornick officiating. Levi was the father of Michala Crable, Gering, Autumn Elsen, Aspen Elsen and Dawson Elsen, all of the home. Levi was a caring husband, devoted father and faithful friend. Levi continues to be the love of our lives and will be greatly missed by his entire family. Until we met again, we love you. Levi is survived by his wife Tonya, children Michala Crable, Autumn Elsen, Aspen Elsen, and Dawson Elsen, Mother Cynthia Elsen, Scottsbluff, Father Alan (Valerie) Elsen, Harrisburg, Brothers and Sisters Amy Kaufman, North Platte, Brock (Kerry) Elsen, Harrisburg, Krissy Elsen, Gering, Katie Elsen, Chadron, Dusty Elsen, Camp LeJune, North Carolina, Misty (Kenny) Stauffer, Harrisburg, Tiffany (Bob) Christensen, Laramie, Wyoming, Chelsea Custer, Harrisburg, Grandparents Robert (Lorna) Elsen, Sidney, Sally Leach, Kimball, Nieces and Nephews Remingten Elsen, Trenton Elsen, Aryeh Scott, Sheyanne Elsen, Tayler Douglas, Austin Elsen, Destiny Fisher, Jacqueline Stauffer, Delanee Stauffer, Jamison Duncan, Emmitt Giles, Mother-in-law Ramona Giles, Gering, Brothers-in-law Loren Giles, Gering, Matthew (Melissa) Giles, Commerce City, Colorado and many Aunts and Uncles. Levi was preceded in death by his grandparents Lynn and Darlene Martin and Delbert Leach.
