Marjorie Ann Coursey Sipp, 92, of Scottsbluff, passed away on August 1, 2021, at The Northfield Residency Care Center. A funeral service will be held at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10am with Pastor Steve Schwartzkopf officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Marjorie was born on April 21, 1929, in Amarillo, Texas, to Cecil C. and Lena (Keiser) Coursey. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1947, going on to receive her higher education from University of Colorado with a BS in 1952 and an MA from the University of Wyoming in 1971. She taught at the Bridgeport High School from 1964-1968 and at Western Nebraska Community College from 1968-1978. She was a real estate associate broker after that. She was married to Winnie D. Sipp in 1975 and they made their home at the Western Café in Scottsbluff. They were members of the Elks Club and enjoyed traveling and dancing.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Winnie Sipp; son, Preston Barnes; step-son-in-law, Lynn Herdt; granddaughter, Jennifer Barnes; and sister, Betty Haught.
Survivors include son, Mike (Janelle) Barnes; step-daughter, Conny Herdt; grandchildren, Jessica Ann and Kristine; step-grandchildren, Travis Herdt and Kelly Kirkwood; great grandchildren, Mya and David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
