

Mildred Mae Warner, 90, of Gering, formerly of Banner County, passed away on October 14, 2008, at her home with family by her side. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at the Hull Community Church in Banner County with Pastor Sheila Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com Mildred Mae was born on November 3, 1917 at the family home in Goshen County, Wyoming to John E. and Edna V. (Parks) Craton. She attended school in LaGrange, Wyoming graduating in 1935. She attended the University of Nebraska. She married L. Wayne Warner of Banner County on September 25, 1940. They farmed and ranched on the Warner homestead for 58 years. She was a member of the Hull and then the Mitchell United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a 4H Club member and then leader. For many years she was the Hull church recording secretary and the chair of Commission on Missions. She is survived by her husband, L. Wayne, daughter, Peggy (Glenn) Shorney of Lincoln, Nebraska, grandchildren, Laura (Ron) Simmons of Frisco, Texas, Ryan Shorney of Snowmass Village, Colorado, and great grandson, Tristan Simmons of Frisco, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Spain of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Francelia (Herbert) Johnson of Kimball, Nebraska, one niece and six nephews, brother-in-law Keith (Marletta) Warner of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and sister-in-law Barbara (LeRoy) Morse of Springfield, Missouri. Preceding her in death were her parents, sister, Lucy (Pat) Bolin and infant sister, Dorothy Craton, infant twin daughters, Zona Mae and Mona Rae and two nephews.
