

Millie Reich, 89, formerly of the Scottsbluff area, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at a Sioux City, Iowa, hospital. Her funeral service will at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Dugan Kramer Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Charles Richardson officiating. Interment will be at East Lawn Cemetery at Minatare. Friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Millie was born April 27, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois, to Wilhemina and Gottlieb Kraus. She was married to Alex Reich on August 11, 1934, at Harrisburg, Nebraska. They farmed south of Morrill for many years and Millie moved to Scottsbluff after her husband’s death. Millie was a member of the Federated Church in Mitchell, Nebraska. Spending time with her family was very important to her. In 2002, Millie moved to Sioux City, Iowa, to be closer to her family. She attended the First Methodist Church in Hinton, Iowa, and enjoyed having lunch with her friends from “Club.” Survivors include her son, Ron and his wife Suzy, of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Erica Reich Lembke and her husband Gary of Columbia, Missouri; JD Reich and his wife Allison of Ames, Iowa; Brad Reich and his wife Cindy of Everett, Washington, and Tory Reich of Las Vegas, Nevada; one great-grandson, Jack Reich of Ames, Iowa; her brother, Fred Kraus of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and two daughters-in-law, Cheryl Bills of Alliance, Nebraska and Marilyn Rigby of Stanwood, Washington, as well as many nieces and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alex; two sons, Delbert and Terry Reich and four sisters, Emma Thompson, Dorothy Nuss, Mollie Vogel and Wilma Woodruff.
