

Patricia was born north of Mitchell, NE, to Ivy and Nora (Milton) Sayre on February 2, 1940. She was the youngest of 15 siblings which included 4 sets of twins. Passed away on August 1, 2025, at Heritage Estates.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyoming.
She received her education at Dry Spotted Tail School until it was consolidated into Mitchell, where she finished her education.
She was active in softball and volleyball; she also worked 2 jobs while in school at Blair’s Drug Store and Nile Theatre.
In 1957, she married Jimmy Freel from Lyman to that marriage there were 3 children: twins Garry and Barry Freel and daughter Sandra Freel Preble.
Patricia worked for Ben Franklin, Pure Gro Fertilizer and Beeline Motor Freight. Jim and Pat were half owners of Valley Bowling Lanes in Mitchell. She loved to bowl in leagues and tournaments. She and 5 sisters bowled in WIBC nationals in Denver. Their team placed 39th out of 1096 teams.
In 1980, she married Calvin Weickum of Torrington where they farmed and ranched. She loved to cut hay with her swather, also drove beet truck. After they sold the farm, she weighed beets at Holly Sugar and Western Sugar. She was a Deli Manager for Kelly Super, also secretary for Torrington Sod Farm.
On November 23, 2007, she married Leonard “Scoop” McGuire in Las Vegas. They enjoyed camping and playing cards and tailgating at the University of Wyoming football games.
She is survived by sons Garry and Barry; daughter Sandra (Mike) Preble; stepdaughters Patty (Gene) Norris, Diana Grayson (Tom) Folglesanger, Janice Weickum, Sally (Doug) Warner, Dierdre (Jeff) Pitch, Donette (Kris) Kahle, Jane “Pooh” Bohl, Carrie (Jr) Grant; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brothers Glenn, Ralph, Leo, and Duane Sayre; sisters Helen Sanders, Cleo Mattos, Maxine Stanzion, Viola Douglass, Leta Roberts, Veda Shafery, Mary Kuxhausen, Martha Loughran, Elaine Lawson, and Shirley Niederkorn; stepdaughter Susan Rich. In 2004 by husband Calvin and Scoop in 2022.
