

Pauline Kaufman Shoopman, 86 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Mitchell Care Center. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Barry Warpness officiating. Interment will be at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Pauline was born on October 5, 1920 in Minatare, Nebraska to George and Marie (Peil) Drumheller. She married Alexander Kaufman on April 14, 1939 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She worked at Vi’s Diner in Scottsbluff, later farmed with sons after death of Alex in July of 1960. Pauline was a member of Hope Ladies Club, Dorcas Society –St. James Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, cooking for her family and friends and quilt-making. Survivors include her daughter Colleen Herman of Youngtown, AZ; son Larry (Sharon) Kaufman of Scottsbluff; daughter Geraldine “Jeri” (Harvey) Bartel of Scottsbluff; daughter Sharon (Pete) Bennis of Gold Canyon, AZ; son Rick (Jacque) Kaufman of Scottsbluff and son Rodney Kaufman of Weiser, Idaho; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brother Edd (Elizabeth) Drumheller of Thornton, CO; sisters Esther Schmall of Bayard, Caroline (Dale) Smock of Scottsbluff, Lenora Cross of Bayard, Marleen (Bill) Blanding of Carpentersville, Il., Judy Drumheller and Trudy Drumheller both of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alex, four brothers, two sisters and three grandsons.
