Rachelle Bethany Kort

Rachelle Bethany Kort, 14, of Scottsbluff, passed away as the result of injuries suffered during a motor vehicle accident near Odessa, Nebraska on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Her funeral service will be held at 10 Am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Reverend Jeffrey Grams officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family may visit and sign the guest book from 1-7 PM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Rachelle was born November 4, 2002 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Tami Kort. She had completed the 8th Grade at Scottsbluff Middle School where she participated in softball, played clarinet in the band, and sang in the choir. She was a Girl Scout since the second grade.

Rachelle was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Youth Group, having recently been confirmed. She loved to be on youtube and spend time with her family and best friend, Kyler. She was working towards a future career in working with the disabled youth and adults.

Rachelle is survived by her mother and step-father Tami and Chad Morris of Scottsbluff; sister and brother-in-law Abby and Christian Okoye of Omaha; brothers Brayden Morris and Kirk Linberry of Scottsbluff; grandparents Richard and Patti Kort of Mitchell and Deborah Morris of Strasburg, CO; aunt and uncle Tricia and Kurtis Kautz of Mitchell; step aunts and uncles Becky and Steve Rodda of Strasburg, CO, and Odessa and Dusty Morris of Strasburg, CO; cousins Kaden, Kaleb, Kyler, and Kameron Kautz; step cousins Stephanie and Reegan Rodda, and Taylor, Mariah, Allison, Zoey, and Kaden Morris; and several extended family members.

Rachelle was preceded in death by her grandpa Donald Morris and great-grandparents.
