A graveside service will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, Nebraska, on April 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Roger was born July 13, 1953, to loving parents Alex and Helen (Achziger) Betzold, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He had 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
He attended Sunflower High School until 11th grade and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1972. He completed 2 years of college at WNCC.
He was a welder by trade and spoke about how he could lay down a bead like a row of dimes.
He married Vicki Betzold in 1975. They were married for 26 years. They had two kids together, Ryan Allen Betzold and Andrea Marie Betzold. He always had a close special bond with them.
He loved sports and had countless stories from his youth. He also enjoyed playing his collection of guitars and riding his motorcycle, when the weather was nice.
He has a loving and caring heart and is greatly loved and missed by many.
