Rosario C. Rosas

Rosario “Rozy” C. Rosas, 64, of Scottsbluff, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013, at his home with his family. His funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Phil Flott officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with military honors provided by the Nebraska Army National Guard. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com Rosario was born October 2, 1949, at San Antonio, Texas to Agapito Rosas and Anita Colunga. He attended San Antonio Public Schools. He married Diana P. Gonzales on September 10, 1976, at Scottsbluff and they made their home in Scottsbluff. Survivors include his wife, Diana Rosas; sons, Rosario Rosas Jr. (Jasmine Arizmendez) and Eric Lee Rosas; grandchildren, Tiana, Dorian, and Meridian Rosas; mother, Anita Carmona; sisters, Lydia (Kenny) Kotara, and Lupe (Robert) Acuna; brothers, Eddie Carmona, and Michael Carmona; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Agapito Rosas; and brothers, Santos Rosas and Faustino Carmona.
