Ruth A. Henderson

Ruth A. Henderson was born January 16, 1920, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the daughter of Albert and Agnes Salstrom. In 1944 she married John A. Henderson and they had two children, Susan Gail and John David. Ruth had 9 brothers and sisters, four of whom preceded her in death: Robert Salstrom, Leroy Salstrom, Helen Stertz, and Doris Gregg. Her surviving siblings are Betty Carlson, Ruby Schumacher, Marilyn Spence, Bryan Salstrom, and Shirley Carter. Ruth had two grand-daughters, Jennifer Wilshire and Elizabeth Alexander, and two great-grand-daughters, Lily and Sophie Wilshire. She was preceded in death by her son and husband.

In November of 2013 Ruth moved from the Village in Scottsbluff to Casey’s Pond in Steamboat Springs, CO, to be near her daughter, Susan. She died peacefully in her sleep on May 6, 2014. Ruth read her Bible every day and prayed for many people. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grand-mother, beloved sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered at a service at the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home at 10:00 on Saturday, May 24, 2014 with Pastor Don Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
