Sharon Dianne Koch

A celebration of life for Sharon will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3201 Ave. B, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. A memorial service will occur Monday, August 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Zion Evangelical Church, 3617 5th Ave, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. A graveside will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 4109 5th Ave, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361.

A memorial has been established to Zion Evangelical Church.

She was born July 29, 1947, at Scottsbluff to Richard Nerud and Maxine Fields and received her early education in the Minatare schools, graduating from Minatare High School in 1965.

She married Bob Koch on July 18, 1965, at Minatare Presbyterian Church, and made their home in Scottsbluff, and retired in Phoenix. They returned back to Scottsbluff in 2018 to be closer to family.

She was the former Scottsbluff County Commissioner and a Trust Officer for Valley Bank when she retired.

Sharon and Bob loved to travel in their fifth wheel. Upon retirement they ended up in El Mirage, AZ, where she found a passion for quilting and jewelry making. She loved afternoon golf outings with Bob. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and had a dedicated room in her home for them to play.

Survivors include; daughter Julie (Duane) Aschenbrenner; son Jason (Jennifer) Koch; grandchildren Brock, Sara, JR, and Jessica; great-grandchildren Tucker, Sawyer, Sayler, Gauge, Reece, Rhett, and Adleigh; brother Steve Nerud; sisters Karen (Ron) Von Lembke of Greenwood Village, CO; Fran Strachan of Gering, Norma Blehm of Gering, and Rhonda (Jim) Koch of Gering.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard & Maxine Nerud; in-laws John & Leona Koch, and husband Bob Koch.
