

Stanley “Jim” James Davidson 82, formerly of Scottsbluff, NE and Sterling, CO passed away on October 31, 2016 at Cottonwood Estates in Plano, TX. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, NE. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the F.E. Jim was born July 29, 1934 in Fairfield, CA to James M. and Blanche L. (January) Davidson. In 1953 he graduated from high school at Laramie, WY. He attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry in 1957. After graduation, he became an air traffic controller officer for the US Air Force and ended his military career as a Major in 1961.
Jim married his wife of 47 years, Yvonne Thomas on February 22, 1964 in Hemingford, NE. Jim began his career working for Western Sugar Company as a fieldman and 40 years later as an Agriculture Manager for the same company. Jim was involved in many community clubs which included Rotary and Elks, was a member of a ditch board, and also active in many of his children’s activities.
Jim is survived by his son Steve Davidson of Plano, TX; daughters, Shari Gertner and husband Jim of Gallup, NM and their son Derek, Debbie Cook of Chandler, AZ and her children Erica and Jessica, Tami Jones and husband Matt of Palisade, CO and their children Amanda, Alesha, Chelsey and Matt Jr; great-grandchildren; brother Tom Davidson and his wife Ann of Mukwonago, WI; sister-in-law Patricia Beagle and husband Jerry of Alliance, NE; two nieces Kristy Hanks and Dodi Krug; and two nephews, Tom Beagle and Gary Davidson.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Davidson and his parents, James and Blanche Davidson.
