Timothy Lee Hoffman

Timothy Lee Hoffman, 64 of Scottsbluff, NE died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at his home. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at Monument Bible Church with Pastor Dan Anderson officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery with military rites by the Nebraska Army National Guard. Tim was born December 3, 1945 in Lincoln, NE and adopted by Albert and Marie Hoffman of Henry, NE. He graduated from Morrill High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served from 1965 until 1974. He married Loretta K. Giles and had three children: Andrea (Dave) Weinert, Casper, WY, Brian (Desirae) Hoffman, Fort Bragg, NC and Neal (Jerri) Hoffman, Sidney, NE. They moved back to the valley in 1974 where Tim was employed by the U. S. Postal Service until he retired in 2000. He then attended night classes at Western Nebraska Community College and Chadron State College receiving his Associate and Bachelor Degrees in business. His hobbies included collecting model trains, airplanes and NASCAR replicas as well as reading and solving puzzles. He is survived by his children, sister Cyndi, daughter by a previous marriage Rhonda Nelson; grandchildren, Samantha, Heather, Kara, Gary, Colton and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother and sister Birdie.
