

Violet Mae Kramer, 76, of Cheyenne, formerly of Lyman, passed away June 27, 2011 at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As per Violet’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service is planned. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made in Violet’s name to Salem Congregational Church of Scottsbluff or Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Violet was born December 22, 1934 in Lyman, Nebraska to David and Mary (Stoll) Asmus and received her education in the Lyman School System. She married Donald L. Kramer, March 3, 1952 and they made their home in the Lyman area. Violet was a former member of Salem Congregational Church. Violet enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and flowers, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family, grandson and great-grandchildren. Violet is survived by daughter, Kathy (David) Barker of North Platte; grandson, Ryan (Sarah) Barker of Kearney; great-grandchildren, Caden, Brody, and Brooklyn of Kearney; sisters Mary Jane Fahlbusch of Scottsbluff and Esther Rexius of Cheyenne; brother Rueben Asmus of Scottsbluff; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Fegler of Scottsbluff, Molly Asmus of Torrington and Nori Asmus of Denver. Preceding Violet in death were her parents, husband, son David, and one sister and six brothers.
