Lew married Mary Louise Moschetti on March 12, 1946 at Canon City, Col., and made their home there for a while.
Lew lived his early days in the back woods of Marshall Pass in Col. and the Beckford Ranch, also in Col. He served in the Army and when he got out he bought the O K Rubber Welders franchise, on Broadway in Scottsbluff. He and his hired man, Stan Hill, each built dune buggies back in the late 60’s. He liked to drive around in his “buggy.” He especially liked taking his “buggy” to Kimball for Memorial Day and to Canon City for his class reunions.
