Betty Jean Leftwich

Betty Jean Leftwich went to her peaceful retreat in heaven on January 31, 2018 from her home in Rockwall, Texas. She was born in Brownwood, Texas on May 23, 1929. She is preceded in death by her parents Reverend Steve & Natalie Philpot; grandmother Sallie Pearl Brown; uncle Buren Brown and Aunt Ida Brown.

Left with cherished memories are her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Curtis Leftwich; sister Sandra Haddock; son Gary Leftwich & wife Kathy; daughter Brenda Walker & husband Wayne; granddaughter Wendy Headen & husband Skip; grandson Chad Leftwich & wife Terry; grandson Kevin Walker & wife Christy; grandson Chris Walker & fiancé Shannon Welton; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family loved ones and beloved friends.

Betty loved her family, the Lord and her church. She enjoyed family gatherings and going to church. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Seagoville for many many years were she played the piano. She also enjoyed gardening and home decorating. She loved oil painting and was passionate about fishing but her greatest pleasure came from playing the piano and listening to piano and gospel music.

Betty was loved by all and will be solely missed.
