

He was born on May 13, 1953 in Escondido, California to John and Marilyn Hove. David was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the U.S. Army War College. He fought in the Army for over 10 years during the Vietnam War, and gained the rank of SP5 Sergeant. He married Elizabeth Hove in 1987 and the couple had 6 children. He was a Mechanic for the City of Dallas where he worked for more than 12 years.
In his spare time, David enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports, playing the game of pool, jamming out to classic rock, fishing, spoiling his grandchildren, and spending time with his family. His family and friends will always remember him as an easy-going guy who would help anyone out who needed it.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hove; mother, Marilyn Hove; father, John Hove; brother, Richard Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Tammi Kerry; and son-in-law, Thomas Curtis.
He is survived by his daughters, Maryland (Matt) Stannard, Slyvie (Charles) Gragson, and Penny Curtis; his sons, Daniel Kerry, Jessie (Martha) Kerry, and Nolan (Traleesa) Kerry; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
