George Howard Pemberton, Jr., 87, passed away on February 10, 2017 in Seagoville, TX. He was born on July 15, 1929 to George and Margaret (Rivers) Pemberton, Sr. in Kingman, AZ. Howard began working at Safeway, as a bagboy, at the age of 15. He then proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his Honorable Discharge, Howard returned to Safeway and eventually retired there. He served in every capacity, from butcher to manager, during his tenure. Howard was also an accomplished pianist and played at his church, First Baptist Church of Glendale, for many years. He was a faithful servant to his Lord. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Theresa Flanery Pemberton, nephew David Lannon Daniel and niece Carrol Ann Daniel. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Mary Frances Hopkins; niece Margaret Kirkland; great nieces and nephews: Heidi, Josh and Lexy; four great-great nieces and nephews; cousins Fred Rivers, Leigh Rivers and Libby Hargrove.
