Janet was a Godly, kind hearted, loving woman who would do anything for the people she loved. To know Janet was like walking amongst the angels. She was kind to everyone she met and was always ready to help people in any way she could. Her smile would brighten up any room, and if you knew her you couldn’t help but love her. She loved spending time with her family, fishing at Lake Tawakoni, deer hunting in Fairfield, playing dominos and was a master Yahtzee player. She was married to the love of her life James E Metzgar Jr for 62 beautiful years until he went on to save their place in Heaven. Janet had the best job of them all: being a devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother, and she did it all effortlessly. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her whole heart and would do anything in this world for them. Janet will be missed dearly by all of her loved ones, but one thing is certain: the mark that she made and the memories she gave will surely last forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frankie Inez Compton and Kelton Stephen Farmer, brother James Ray Farmer, and daughter Linda Kay Metzgar.
She is survived by her son Rick Metzgar and wife Suzanne, daughter Brenda Pappas and husband James; 4 grandchildren: Rusty Pappas, Kristen Pappas, Sam Metzgar, Nathan Metzgar; 3 great grandchildren: Aliyah Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Cash Pappas; sister-in-law Jimmie Blakeman and 2 nieces and 4 nephews.
