She always tried to live by the teaching of Jesus that the first will be last and the last will be first. Her compassionate heart led her to acts of selflessness that left everyone she came in contact with feeling loved. Joyce had a way of making you feel that you and your needs were the only thing that mattered to her. She will be dearly missed until we see her again in Heaven.
Joyce Maxine was born in Dallas, TX on February 26, 1944 to Delbert and Opal Brogden, brother Thomas and sister Mavis. She went home on October 14, 2023 at the age of 79. After graduating from Kimball High School in 1962, she married George Williams on January 26, 1963 and had two children, but had many others who considered her their Mom.
She was blessed with a large and loving family and a great many dear friends. She was able to travel to many places around the world and see great things. But her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anyone who knew her could tell you who they were and of their exploits. Not because she wanted to brag, but because she wanted to share her joy with others.
She is now reunited with those who preceded her in death; her parents, her sister Mavis Tatum, and her husband, George Williams. She leaves behind, her brother, Thomas Brogden, her children, Wendy Williams, Sean Williams and his wife Faithe, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren (with two more on the way). She also leaves behind a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Proverbs 31:26, “When she speaks, her words are wise and she gives instructions with kindness.”
