Linda Kay Percivill of Mesquite, Texas, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 16,2022, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 75. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas on July 31, 1946, to the late Otis "Andy" Anderson and Francis "Maxine" Cole. On January 6, 1964 she married her best friend Bobby Percivill in Austin, Texas. After 58 years together, their love for each other was as strong as the day they met. She loved her husband and her family and enjoyed the times spent together. She cherished her 4 children and enjoyed her involvement in their activities. Whether in the stands, with a camera glued to her hand, directing the drill team, or crafting mums she supported them. Linda was a sharp, clever woman and a hard worker. No matter the business, bookkeeping was something that came to her naturally. But of all the work she did, nothing compared to the pride she had for her children. They are her heritage and an example of the wonderful woman who raised them.
She loved her grandchildren and was once again back into the world of being the biggest fan, but this time in the role of Nanny. Years of activities and events filled her calendar and her heart. In fact "my heartbeat" was often the words she used to describe how much her grandchildren meant to her. When her great-grandchildren began arriving year after year, a whole new chapter and light shined. Pure happiness, were the moments and conversations she had with them.Although from Austin, Boomer Sooner was the chant she loved to shout. During her free time, Linda enjoyed music, crafts, OU, football, and let's be honest, the occasional casino ;). But none of those things came close to the love she had for family gatherings and cooking. Any holiday or event was an opportunity for her to cook for an "army" and send people home with more leftovers than they could imagine. Linda was an amazing cook and having family gather around her meals was a tradition she wanted to be carried on.
Close relationships were a priority in her life, and her devotion to her family as a mentor, supporter, friend, and companion will have an everlasting impact on those who follow her. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother Carl Anderson, and sisters Cynthia Anderson, Debbie Norris, and Cathy Anderson. Linda is survived by her husband Bobby Percivill, her children, Sherry Goshorn and husband Don of Garland, Texas, Carl Curtis and wife Jana of Heartland, Texas, Pam Albright and husband Ted of Forney, Texas, Rebecca Gruner and husband Robert of Heath, Texas and her brother Wayne Anderson and wife Virginia of Seguin, Texas. She leaves a legacy to 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
It was a custom of hers to say "Love you" at the end of every conversation or message. We love you too and you will be missed dearly until the day comes when we're together again.
